Human Rights Awareness Program
Every human being has their rights in society but due to some discrimination, they don’t get it properly. From Makdam Nagar Health Awareness & Social Welfare Society, we try to provide them all their rights. Women who are in danger and always oppressed by the masculine power and people who are physically challenged or live on the footpath need help and every kind of assistance to settle in society. But due to some troubles or issues, they are often deprived of society. We also fight for the rights of children, lower community people, and the people who are neglected in society. MNHSWS NGO fights for them and helps them to get all their rights and advantages which are made for them.
Blood Donation Camp
Our members arrange blood donation camps every year and send blood to a nearby health center. We all know the value of blood as it can’t be made in factories. The only source is the human body. Many patients suffering from chronic diseases, accident cases need blood. We organize blood donation camps to meet the need. In our camps, we also have an arrangement of some refreshments. People from nearby areas come to us and we are getting a huge response from them. We send these blood samples to different government hospitals where poor people don’t get blood easily.
Food & Garments Distribution
Besides the other activities, MNHSWS NGO also takes an initiative to help the poor and homeless people by distributing clothes and food. In winter, we distribute blankets and woolen clothes to the poor and homeless people. Some housemaids also get help from us. We all need woolen clothes to fight against the cold weather. Despite standing idly, we provide blankets and other help with every possibility to the needy people. We often visit the rural areas of Birbhum and distribute blankets and food among the people of colonies; these clothes are often collected with the help of our supporters and donors.
Free Canteen in Urban Areas
We have also started a free canteen or lunger in the urban areas of Birbhum to provide free food for the poor and homeless people of Birbhum. Every day our members cook food and distribute it among people; a little try from our Ngo to provide food to everyone.
Old Age Home
Old Age Homes have been running from our organization to provide care and shelter to the poor and homeless people. The senior citizens of our society are often neglected. Sometimes, they are thrown out of their family. Their near and dear ones didn’t like them. They will feel lonely and due to age, they will not be able to work anymore. For these reasons, there is a huge demand for old age homes and with this view, we have started an old age home. The organization is planning to run our Old Age Home named for the Aged people at Birbhum.
Orphanage Home
Makdam Nagar Health Awareness & Social Welfare Society is a renowned name in the area of Birbhum where people get various help. Our NGO also runs an Orphan Home for the wellbeing of poor and homeless children. Here, about 50 residents live in our Home. Boys and girls from the age group of 6-18 come to us and from our side, we try to take care of them through our various Home facilities. Not only food and lodging but also they get primary or secondary education from nearby schools free of cost. Residents come to our Home from special recommendation by higher Govt Officials like the District Magistrate or Local Police Station. We try from our end to provide good education and basic nutrition for the poor children in urban areas.
Free Health Check Up Camp
Medical camps for children are arranged in rural areas with the collaboration of local health centers. In these camps, we arrange free health check-up services, free eye check-up services, free blood pressure check-up, etc. All these are arranged under the observance of local volunteer doctors and nurses who take care of all the needs. They also prescribe medicines which we distribute free of cost and also provide free supplements to the poor and needy children.
Awareness Program
Makdam Nagar Health Awareness & Social Welfare Society wants to create awareness among the common people through awareness programs. We have been generating consciousness among people through leaflets, flyers, and other materials in every camp. They are distributed among people which help them to know about our services such as Anti-drug, Mother and Child Care, Environment Pollution, Women Empowerment, etc.

Makdam Nagar Health Awareness & Social Welfare Society is a Non-Profit Organization that started their journey on the 15th of September, 2011; the head office is at Mokdamnagar (hattola).
